The aesthetics of mid-century is a modernism accurate to the mid-twentieth century. Furniture , which were created in those days are characterized by simplicity, functionality and elegance. Mid – century refer to the work of these designers and architects like Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Ray and Charles Eames and the tradition of the Bauhaus school.
In Poland, the aesthetics of mid-century ties in with the period between the 60’s and 80’s and is often associated with trumpery, gray colours and mediocrity in quality.
